Welcome

We are a family of award-winning choirs and a Registered Charity with a difference. Rock Up and Sing! has four popular and exciting adult choirs based in Harrogate and Skipton, and a talented Youth Choir (ages 12 – 18), totalling over 400 members!
Rock Up and Sing! was formed in 2009 by Rhiannon Gayle, a qualified Soprano, whose aim was to provide an inclusive community choir which bridges the gap between just singing for fun and a professional choir. With the focus on correct tuition from highly qualified conductors, our members not only improve their singing to a successful level but gain personal confidence and lasting friendships.

Why Join Us?

With Rock Up there is no auditioning, no need to be able to read music, and no previous experience necessary.
There are no soloists who take the limelight and members learn from sheet music, not just words.

Harmonies are sung in four, and sometimes six, voice parts.

There are extra monthly rehearsals specifically just for chaps – usually ending with beer!

Concerts are accompanied by professional musicians not backing tracks.
We have our own dedicated rehearsal studio in Harrogate with plenty of on-site parking.
Emphasis is put on vocal training and breathing techniques, whilst still ensuring that rehearsals are full of laughter and fun.

Performing

Each choir performs solo concerts throughout the year and comes together for mass concerts accompanied by a live band, as well as taking part in fantastic social events and overseas trips.
With a repertoire that focuses on rock, pop, gospel and some stunning a cappella pieces, Rock Up and Sing! has raised over £34,000 for other charities through concerts and performances, and can be hired either individually or en masse for corporate or charity events.
