October 2016 saw 136 very excited choir members winging their way to Budapest in Hungary for a packed four day trip with two sell-out concerts. This was the third overseas trip by Rock Up and, once again, the fun and friendship shone through.

The choir visited the beautiful Godollo Royal Palace, an hour outside Budapest, and with a Palace tour and a fabulous horse show offered during the day, the highlight was a concert in the stunning Palace in the evening. The audience were incredibly appreciative and the concert ended with two encores and a standing ovation, followed by lots of congratulating the two conductors, Rhiannon and Andrew, on their way out!

The following day was spent in Budapest with a rehearsal and another very successful concert, this time at the Mom Cultural Centre in the evening.

Lots of celebratory singing in a local pub followed, and along with time for sightseeing, sampling local food and drinks and plenty of laughter, the choir members were thrilled that the trip had been so much fun and had cemented lots of friendships.
